Aceh Projects Manager, Aceh Programme

Salary: Negotiable and dependent on qualifications and experienceStart Date: As soon as possible
Duration of Contract: One year fixed-term contract, with possibility to extend based on business need and funding availability
Location: Banda Aceh, with regular travel to field locations within Aceh province, with occasional travel to Jakarta and elsewhere as required
FFI is seeking an experienced and dynamic Manager to lead its Aceh Projects, which focus on forest protection, wildlife management, climate change mitigation and marine and coastal resource management.
Candidates will possess an MSc level qualification in a relevant discipline and a minimum of five years’ experience working in the fields of nature conservation, ecosystem management and/or community engagement, within an international conservation environment.
Previous experience of managing World Bank and European Union budgets and understanding of their grant regulations are key, as is an ability to liaise effectively with a range of project stakeholders, principally provincial and national government institutions. You will be fluent in both Indonesian and English, be able to write clearly and articulately in English and act as a mentor to the staff and partners who you will supervise as part of the project team. The Projects Manager must be able to integrate fully into the management systems and processes of the wider Indonesia and regional Asia-Pacific programmes.
