Communications Manager , FIA - Federation Internationale de l'Automobile
The FIA (Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile) Region I office in Brussels, representing 108 Automobile Clubs in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, is currently seeking a Communications Manager.
Duties and responsibilities
As a strong communicator of both internal and external messages, across a range of media (web, print, social, etc.) you will support the FIA team in their public affairs work – lobbying, events, and campaigns. Messages and media will be tailored to the needs of the different FIA sub-regions and their activities. Areas of public policy covered include consumer protection, internal market, transport, environment, road and vehicle safety, automotive industry, and tourism.
Specific tasks will include
- Working with the FIA team to ensure optimum visibility for their work towards targeted audiences
- Maintenance of FIA websites
- Editing, copywriting & proof-reading: magazine articles, press releases, newsletters, brochures, reports
- Media relations
- Development of a communications plan
Profile
- Minimum three years professional experience in communications
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- A confident communicator
- A solid background in European or international public affairs
- A team-oriented self-starter with initiative and analytical skills
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office tools, knowledge of desktop publishing or web content management
- Language skills: English mother tongue, additional language(s) an advantage.
- Good understanding of lobbying/advocacy
