Manager, Writer-Editor, Knowledge Management Department
Chemonics' Editorial Support and Production department seeks an energetic, customer service-oriented writer-editor to tackle tough editing jobs under tight deadlines and work closely with staff throughout the company to produce project technical materials and proposals. We are looking for individuals who have a passion for making a difference in the lives of people around the world.
Responsibilities include:
*Write and edit communications materials including proposals, project reports, success stories, and newsletters
*Train staff in outlining, writing, editing, and formatting
*Serve as a communications resource for projects worldwide.

*Provide high-quality writing and editing services throughout the project life cycle for technical materials including proposals, reports, deliverables, and outreach materials
Additional Responsibilities:
Work closely with regional teams and senior writer/editors to ensure that materials comply with client and corporate standards for writing, design, style, and format Help establish, maintain, and promote quality standards for all written materials at Chemonics, including writing, editing, style, format, design, and production Help mentor and train staff to use Chemonics tools, standards, and other quality assurance tools Demonstrate understanding of the interdisciplinary nature of international development Apply technical knowledge of a development discipline to improving proposals, project deliverables, and practice networks Job Requirements
Position Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in English, communications, or journalism Minimum five years of professional writing and editing experience Ability to solve problems creatively, multitask, and work under tight deadlines Excellent written and oral communications skills Strong interpersonal and organizational skills Highly organized; able to juggle editing and packaging of multiple sections of a proposal or report Demonstrated ability to conceptualize and write proposal or report sections Experience in international development and understanding and knowledge of USAID preferred U.S. work authorization required
