MAIN TASKS OF THE EXPATRIATE
Under the direct responsibility and supervision of the Operation Coordinator and with the support of HQ Specific Needs Technical Advisor, you will be responsible for:
REPRESENTATION In coordination with your line manager, you represent Handicap International in the technical domain under your supervision with any relevant stakeholders; Under the direct supervision of your line manager, you participate to the Working Groups related to your field of intervention at national and/or local level; On the Project Managers, Field Coordinator and Operation Coordinator’s demand, to ensure ad hoc additional representation with other stakeholders such as funding organisation, cluster meeting and medias;
PROVISION OF TECHNICAL SUPPORT TO OPERATIONAL TEAMS ON MHPSS COMPONENT OF PROJECTS
- Projects teams: Support in recruitment of psychosocial/psychology-related project technical staff Elaboration and implementation of internal training on technical mental health and psychosocial support related issues in link with HI current project Quality monitoring during regular field visits
- MHPSS intervention implementation & monitoring: Participation in the implementation of MHPSS strategy of intervention and the monitoring of its qualitative aspects Identification of potential opportunities for activities’ development/evolution and exit strategy Participation in needs assessment and appropriate response sizing Provision and validation with HQ Specific Needs TA of resources and tools
CAPACITY BUILDING OF NATIONAL PSYCHOSOCIAL TECHNICAL ADVISOR Identify the knowledge, knowhow and skills relevant and useful for the MHPSS intervention.

TEAM MANAGEMENT You ensure strict application and respect of the Internal Regulation by your related staff. You can suggest to the administrator precision/adaptation of certain rules taking into account the specific context of the Jordan mission (security, social life, leaves, etc.); You define, with each member of your staff, his action plan and delay for reaching defined goals (IAP); You support and advise your team in the implementation of their IAP; You ensure feed back towards your team about issues potentially raised by them; You propose to your line manager relevant needed adaptation to the organizational chart of the mission and contribute to its implementation.
REPORTING You participate to the monthly situation report (SITREP) by providing relevant data related to your position; You provide regular reporting on your activities to your line manager upon his/her solicitation (coordination meeting, workshop meeting, etc.); You prepare donor reports and you participate in proposal writing under the supervision of your line manager; You provide the desk officer with a mission report and/or handover document at the end of your contract; Debriefing at HQ at the end of your mission (and during Home-Break).
