UK Statistics Authority Head of Assessment
The UK Statistics Authority is an independent body at arm’s length from Government with the statutory objective of promoting and safeguarding the production and publication of official statistics that ‘serve the public good’.
The role of Head of Assessment is a high profile post at the very heart of the UK statistical system. You will foster, demonstrate and improve the quality, utility and trustworthiness of UK official statistics. You will lead statutory work to look across all UK official statistics to assess and report publicly on the extent to which they meet the standards set out in the Code of Practice for Official Statistics and its principles of impartiality, objectivity, integrity and accessibility. As the principal advisor to the Chair and Board of the Statistics Authority on the assessment of official statistics, you will play a key role in advising the Chair on challenging their misuse. You will also have first class stakeholder management and communication skills, combined with the ability to maintain an independent stance.
