Platinum Valley Special Economic Zone (SEZ): Project Officer

The North West Development Corporation (SOC) Ltd is an organisation that promotes industrialising the economy, attracting investments, promoting exports and overcoming the legacy of economic imbalances. The NWDC has the following three-year fixed-term opportunities:
Platinum Valley Special Economic Zone (SEZ): Project Officer
NWDC Rustenburg Branch
Salary negotiable
The incumbent will coordinate the development and implementation of the proposed (SEZ).
Key performance areas:
  • Develop a communication and implementation plan for the proposed SEZ
  • Document management
  • Records management
  • Project management
  • Logistical support
  • Activity and event coordination
  • Create and manage secretariat support systems for the work on the proposed SEZ
  • Create and maintain a database of key stakeholders
  • Coordinate all enquiries and requests from key stakeholders.
Requirements:
  • Minimum: Appropriate degree in Project Management and Development Management
  • 5 years' Middle Management relevant working experience in private or Government sectors
  • Knowledge of Government policies and environment
  • Good financial management, stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Good research, report-writing and analytical skills
  • Strong leadership and strategic leadership skills.
 
Note: The successful candidates will be required to sign a performance agreement contract, background verification, including criminal record and citizenship checks as well as competency assessment, will form part of the selection process.
