Communications Evaluation Consultants

Location: Brighton (UK) or Brussels (BE)
Technopolis Group has recently secured a number of exciting Framework Contracts to evaluate communication activities of the European Commission, and is recruiting for senior and junior communication evaluation consultants to join our international team of consultants. Successful applicants will need to have at least two year’s relevant work experience and a knowledge of the policy environment of the European Institutions.
Specifically, candidates should have:
  • A relevant academic background at Masters level or above (or equivalent)
  • A thorough practical knowledge of, and affinity with, the policy areas in which we work
  • Experience in designing and executing communication-related evaluations (evaluating public option, media, websites, social media)
  • Knowledge of and experience in applying the tools and methods used in communication evaluations (e.g. social media metrics, web analytics, on-the-spot surveys, heuristic evaluation)
  • A general good command of qualitative and quantitative research methods
  • Excellent project management skills (for senior candidates)
  • The ability to write well and to a professional standard, in English
  • Self-motivation, intellectual curiosity, ability to work independently and in international teams.

Our growing area of evaluation of communication activities mainly covers policy areas of enterprise, environment, education, justice and consumer affairs. Two of our offices have a growing track record in the evaluation of communication-related activities, Brussels and Brighton. Together they are looking to grow our team of evaluation experts. Technopolis Group Belgium sprl, situated in Brussels, works closely with the European Institutions.
Technopolis UK Ltd is situated right in the heart of Brighton. This office also works extensively withEuropean Institutions as well as clients in other countries such as the UK, Ireland and the Nordic Countries. Both offices have very international teams, each of around 20 staff.
For the senior consultants (5 or more years of experience) your tasks are:
  • To take a leading role in the evaluation of communication-related activities and coordinate existing Framework Contracts in this field, coached by one of our directors
  • To support and mentor a team of consultants that are working in this domain
  • To manage ongoing evaluation projects and/or support other project managers
  • To engage in business development for communication-related evaluations and developing client relations in this domain
For junior consultants (2 or more years of experience) your tasks are:
  • To take part in communications-related evaluations studies applying the tools and methods used in communication evaluations
  • To develop your skills in conducting communications-related evaluations and applying new methods
