DEPUTY CHIEF OF PARTY, LAND REFORM IN AFGHANISTAN (LARA) PROJECT

Tetra Tech ARD (http:www.ardinc.com) is currently accepting expressions of interest from qualified senior level candidates for the Deputy Chief of Party position with the USAID-funded Land Reform project in Afghanistan. LARA is currently looking to fill the following position with a qualified Afghan professional. The purpose of LARA is to develop a robust set of policies and laws to provide a framework for Afghanistan’s land market. Responsibilities: Working under the overall direction of the Chief of Party (COP) and in collaboration with administrative, financial and contracts staff, the DCOP/Technical will have the primary responsibility of ensuring the timely provision and delivery of all required project technical deliverables to support the execution of the LARA project. Qualifications: -- Minimum of 8 to 10 years of experience in senior managerial level with previous work experience with land related issue is an asset; --Minimum Masters degree in Land Administration, Agriculture or other relevant field; --Prior DCOP experience on projects of similar complexity in Afghanistan, with an excellent understanding and knowledge of USAID and USG regulations, administration, management, reporting procedures and systems; -- Highly self-motivated and creative, collegial and professional; --Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines; --Strong interpersonal, analytical, writing and computer skills required;
--Fluent in English, and some knowledge of Dari or Pashto desired.
