IFC is recruiting an Investment Officer/ Senior Investment Officer for its Infrastructure and Natural Resources group in the Europe and Central Asia region to complement an existing team of professionals in Kyiv, Ukraine, and support IFC’s business development, transaction processing and portfolio work, with a focus on infrastructure (including energy, transport and services), oil, gas & mining, TMT and subnational finance in the region.

Duties and Accountabilities:
• As a member of the regional infrastructure cluster team consisting of regional and industry staff based across the region, originate and execute investments in the infrastructure (including energy, transport and services), oil, gas & mining, TMT and subnational finance sectors across the region to meet IFC’s targets.

• Supervise portfolio projects.

• Lead and manage project teams, mentor junior staff.

• Collaborate with country managers, global industry groups and the advisory services to develop sector/regional strategies and design technical assistance programs, enhancing IFC’s value added and development impact at the client, sector and country level.

• Foster relationships with World Bank Group counterparts to identify collaboration opportunities and to enhance business delivery at the country level.

Selection Criteria:
• A masters degree in finance or business or equivalent professional qualification.

• A minimum of 10 years relevant professional experience with a track record of sourcing, structuring and closing quality investments (debt and equity).

• Industry knowledge.

• Strong “deal sense” based on demonstrated credit and analytical skills and sound business judgment.

• Strong sense of service to clients and demonstrated business development aptitude.

• Strong interpersonal skills, ability to build trust, openness to feedback and new ideas.

• Excellent written and verbal communications skills in English and Russian.

• Ability to work in a multicultural, multidisciplinary, matrix organization and deliver high quality work within deadlines to meet team objectives.

• Ability to develop innovative solutions and challenge the status quo in order to build the business.

• Genuine commitment to sustainable development.

• Willingness to travel extensively.
