Keele University Director Job

Director of Keele Management School (KMS)

Keele University is looking to appoint an exceptionally dynamic and experienced academic to lead
its highly successful Management School to the next stage of its development. Established in 2009,
and building on the Keele tradition of a critical approach to management studies rooted in the
social sciences, KMS has grown rapidly to become the University’s leading recruiter of international
students both on campus and with a strategic partner, KDU College, in Malaysia.

The University has ambitions to develop the School’s already extensive portfolio of undergraduate
and postgraduate programmes and is investing £2.7m in a project to provide a single location for the School, with enhanced facilities for academic and executive education. With a track record of innovation in curriculum development and delivery of new international, executive and CPD programmes, you will spearhead our growth in high-quality provision taking advantage of our geographical location. This key role will appeal to a strong academic leader whose professional ambitions match those of the Management School.

We anticipate expanding further the academic staffing base, currently c.40FTE, to meet the demands of KMS’s business growth.

The appointment comes with an attractive remuneration package fully commensurate with its significance to the University.

The details of the terms of appointment will be open to discussion with the preferred candidate.

Informal enquiries about the post may be addressed to Professor David Shepherd, Pro Vice-Chancellor and Dean of Humanities and Social Sciences (+44(0)1782 734585; d.g.shepherd@keele.ac.uk)
