Our client, a law firm with one of the leading privacy and data protection practices in the world, is widely recognized for its deep experience, breadth of knowledge and outstanding client service. With more than 800 attorneys practicing in some twenty offices in the United States, Europe and Asia, it assists clients on a pan-European and global scale with respect to all technology law matters (e.g., data protection; e-commerce; Internet law; electronic communications) with a particular focus on European privacy and data protection law. Its lawyers are admitted in several jurisdictions, including Belgium, France, Germany, Greece and the United States.

The Brussels office is seeking a European-qualified lawyer with an entrepreneurial spirit to join its European and closely integrated transatlantic practice. It is eager to develop its practice by selecting the right individual and enhancing his or her experience and skills. Lawyers working as part of this dynamic team will be part of a multinational and collegial office, and will enjoy real potential to grow and advance within the firm.

Candidates must:

• have a demonstrated interest and/or professional experience in privacy and data protection;
• hold a law degree from a European university and be able to present excellent academic results;
• have obtained an Ll.M. degree abroad, preferably in a relevant area of law;
• be admitted to practice in an EU member state; and
• have an excellent command of written and spoken English, plus at least one additional European language.

The ideal candidate will have approximately four years of post-qualification experience. While the role is open to outstanding lawyers qualified in any EU jurisdiction, we especially welcome enquiries and applications from French and German candidates.
