Researcher/Writer/Editor to obtain Civil Society overview in UNICEF

UNICEF, the world’s leading organization working for the rights of children, seeks a Consultant Researcher/Writer/Editor to obtain an informed overview of the strategic priorities, structure (including staffing, global offices), growth trends, financial position, etc. of UNICEF’s key International Non-Government Organizations (INGO) partners.

Qualification:

• University degree in the social sciences.
• 10-15 years professional work experience, ideally with the UNICEF and/or other organizations from the UN system or non-profit sector.
• Excellent analytical, research, writing, editing and communication skills.
• Excellent publication record, preferably UN-related and/or child-rights organizations.
• Knowledge of civil society organizations both at international and national level.
• Ability to work independently, demonstrate initiative, and produce results.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a multi-cultural environment and establish harmonious and effective working relationships both within and outside the organization.
• Ability to meet deadlines, often on short notice.
• Fluency in English.
