Visiting Faculty (open rank), International Development

The Georgetown Public Policy Institute (GPPI) seeks a PhD economist or political scientist to teach courses in quantitative methods, development economics and related areas for a full-time visiting faculty position beginning August, 2012. Responsibilities include teaching courses in the Masters of International Development Policy (MIDP) and Masters in Public Policy (MPP) programs, and participation in the academic and intellectual life of GPPI. Our ideal candidate would combine experience in practice of international development with an outstanding research record and proven teaching abilities.

A completed application will include a cover letter, curriculum vitae, and names and contact information for three references. We welcome information on teaching abilities or interests,
such as a list of courses taught or interested in teaching, sample syllabi, or teaching evaluations. Applications must be received by March 15, 2012 to be guaranteed full consideration, but will be accepted until the position is filled.
