SENIOR LECTURER/LECTURER IN ANATOMICAL PATHOLOGY

Required Qualifications:
• Undergraduate Medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) from a recognized University
• Postgraduate degree in Anatomical Pathology (MRC Path, Board certification in Pathology or an equivalent qualification from a recognized University

Additional Desirable Qualifications:
Fellowship in Molecular Pathology.

Special Expertise/Area of Concentration:
The candidate should have been exposed to the teaching and research of both Anatomical Pathology with more emphasis on molecular pathology techniques and applications.

Special Responsibilities:
• The candidate will be responsible for teaching Undergraduate students and will be required to undertake post-graduate teaching and supervision
• They will also be required to participate in problem-based learning activities and clerkships
• Lecturing in a large lecture theatre setting
• Conducting laboratory exercise in a large dry/wet laboratory setting
• Support University assessment and examination activities

Personal Attributes:
• Candidates should be able to participate in group learning activities and should be prepared to work in a multi-disciplinary departmental and faculty set-up
• They must be fluent in both spoken and written English Language
• Ability to guide undergraduate and postgraduate students
• Experience in problem-Based Learning (PBL) method would be an advantage
• Ability to relate well with colleagues and support staff and be a good team player
