New Zealand's best-ranked computer science department is inviting applications from suitably qualified individuals to join the department. Academics in their early or mid-career, who are strong researchers and teachers, are encouraged to apply for this position.

Candidates should have a PhD or equivalent in Computer Science or a related discipline. As the successful candidate, you will be expected to teach at the undergraduate level, deliver advanced and graduate level courses in your area of specialisation, undertake research and supervision, and contribute to administration within the Department.

The Department has internationally recognised research programmes in machine learning, human-computer interaction, formal methods in software engineering, computer networks, computer assisted language learning, digital libraries, information systems and music information retrieval.

Preference will be given to candidates who demonstrate the ability to teach first and second year core undergraduate courses and contribute to existing research programmes.

Current salary range for Lecturers is NZ$64,594 to NZ$78,864 per year and for Senior Lecturers is NZ$80,851 to NZ$108,445 per year. The level of appointment will be dependent on the qualifications and experience of the successful applicant.
