RESPONSIBILITIES:
The successful incumbent will be responsible for;:
• Conducting and publication of research;
• Training of postgraduate students;
• Assist with undergraduate training in Poultry Health and Production;
• Performing related administrative activities and other duties.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Associate Professor:
• PhD degree (in an appropriate poultry-related field);
• Substantial years experience in research, postgraduate supervision, networking with research teams and industry partners and research project management;
• Proven research and publication track-record;
• Appropriate language and communication skills;
• Planning and organising skills;
• Good interpersonal, networking and facilitation skills;
• Managerial and coaching skills;
• Critical thinking skills;
• Computer skills (Windows, MS Office, Internet, statistical data processing).

Professor:
• As for Associate Professor PLUS
• Substantial years experience in research, postgraduate supervision, networking with
research teams and industry partners and research project management;
• International recognition as researcher in the subject field of Poultry Health.

RECOMMENDATIONS:
• C-1 NRF rating or above.
