The department

Degree Programmes play a vital role in the success of London Business School. Degree Programmes are responsible for designing, marketing and delivering the School’s portfolio of Masters degree programmes. The Leadership Programmes comprise the School’s various Executive MBA (including the EMBA Dubai-London, Global Americas and Europe and Global Asia) and Sloan Programmes.

The individual

This is a global role working with the most experienced mid-career candidates already on the fast track to executive leadership. A member of the Degree Programmes’ senior leadership team, the Executive Director works closely with the Associate Dean, Degree Programmes and Careers Services, manages a sizeable team, a substantial budget and works closely with Faculty members. The Executive Director will be accountable for the strategic review, development, planning and delivery of the global Executive MBA delivered in London and Dubai and our partnership degrees jointly awarded with Columbia in New York and Hong Kong University. The role also overseas the Sloan Programmes, a mid-career, Masters leadership programme awarded by just three schools: MIT, Stanford and London Business School.

You will have:

• A degree, preferably with an MBA
• A global outlook with deep understanding of global issues, international business and, ideally, business education
• Deep understanding of approaches to successful delivery of world class stakeholder/student experience
• Outstanding people, finance and project management skills
• Track record in delivering world-class services
• Sophisticated internal and external stakeholder management, including those at a senior level and internationally
• Strategic thinking; ability to handle complexity
• Significant experience in programme direction, ideally of Masters programmes at a leading business school and/or in an internationally-focussed organisation such as a professional services firm
