Monitoring and Evaluation Analyst

The Monitoring and Evaluation Analyst will play a critical role in ensuring that our global Monitoring and Evaluation framework continues to develop and that we are using data effectively to tell our story with authoritative and well grounded evidence.
Managing and analysing programme data is only one aspect of this role. Also important is the contribution you can make to refining and developing our M&E framework – by improving the tools we use and adding to them. This includes working alongside our Country offices and other M&E colleagues around the globe in designing and delivering specific M&E initiatives on the ground. The Monitoring and Evaluation Analyst is not a back-room role, to be successful you will need to build excellent relationships be well connected within VSO and work collaboratively with stakeholders in VSO and current M&E thinking in the development sector.
While we are looking for excellent technical skills in monitoring and evaluation, particularly in terms of economic modelling and cost benefit analysis, what is more important is your ability to communicate clearly and simply, combined with a practical and pragmatic approach to getting things done. The Monitoring and Evaluation Analyst will join an M&E team that is expanding globally in line with VSO’s commitment to building its capability in this area.
