CONTRACT: Permanent, Full time
SALARY: £32,292 - £34,570 p.a. negotiable
LOCATION: Central London

As a Journalist in our News & Current Affairs unit you will use your journalism expertise to raise our brand profile, reach and support by finding and pitching compelling stories to the media. Your work will encompass off-diary stories, features and reaction to breaking news and help position us as the go-to voice for relevant campaigns.  You will also add value by increasing the flow of stories covering our emergencies and disasters response, in country development work and around our policy, advocacy and campaigning agenda.
With excellent knowledge of the media landscape you must have substantial experience working in media relations, print or broadcast journalism in a national, high profile organisation. Able to demonstrate a successful track record of obtaining influential media coverage, you will have excellent media contacts and a nose for a good story. An effective networker you work well as part of a team and have an eye for detail.
