Under broad direction, applies theories, principles and practices to the research and development of new and improved products, processes and procedures. Decisions and recommendations are authoritative and have far reaching impact on scientific activities of the company. Formulates and guides the attack on problems of significant difficulty and importance to the organization or the industry, where problems are characterized by their lack of scientific precedents or lack of success of prior research. Provide advisory and consulting work for the organization at the manager level as a recognized authority for broad program areas or highly specialized areas. Contribute inventions, novel designs or techniques which are of material significance in the solution of important problems. Patents, publications, and presentations are an important contribution at this level. Recognized as an authority both inside and outside of the company. Role may include team leadership/supervisory functions such as reviews, interviewing and hiring, and budgetary duties.
•Supervise technical staff and lead team in developing and prioritizing various corporate projects and initiatives.
•Mentoring and cultivating talent and bench strength with a focus on knowledge capture.
•Management of a team to complete technical objectives and tasks with subject matter expertise and novel solutions to difficult problems. 
•Assist field operations in the commercialization of client driven applications and services for formation evaluation.
•Develop intellectual properties in line with organization’s strategy
•Publish papers to promote service capabilities
•Interface with internal stakeholders to identify areas of maximum impact for research and development
•Interface with clients on the capabilities and performance of existing tools and services. 
•Strong knowledge of: Reservoir fluids is required with familiarity geochemistry or PVT or flow assurance. Working knowledge of Chemometrics with a background in statistical algorithms is useful. 
•Must possess a thorough understanding of the supported technology and the associated development tools, and take responsibility for identifying and filling technological and functional requirements.
•MS or PhD in Science/Engineering is required with preference to Chemistry, Geology or Petroleum related fields.
•7 - 12 years of related experience preferred
