Future Media is currently recruiting for an Assistant Content Producer to work to direction from the Duty Editor or Content Producer on a range of editorial production, monitoring and research tasks. It has responsibility for developing, maintaining and updating a range of online services, including the bbc.co.uk Homepage, BBC iPlayer and BBC Search.

Role
As Assistant Content Producer you'll ensure that all types of content (images, text, AV, user contributions) are delivered to audiences accurately, as scheduled and to the correct standard, as well as identifying and managing problems (including out-of-date feeds, inappropriate images, external news events which need an immediate response, and system faults which are affecting the user experience) as they arise either directly or by raising issues with the appropriate BBC team or external partner.You'll also monitor and ensure the successful and editorially compliant delivery of bbc.co.uk central services.

Requirements
To be successful in this role you'll have previous demonstrable experience of meeting both operational and editorial demands, with the ability to recognise a problem and diagnose its likely causes, preferably gained on a 24/7 consumer-facing and entertainment-focused product or service. Excellent communication skills are essential along with a proven ability to communicate with end users and technical and non-technical colleagues at all levels. An awareness of news and external events and the ability to recognise any issues that might affect BBC online services is a key requirement, as are the skills to work quickly and accurately with a number of technical systems to make changes to editorial assets in line with these new developments.
