The Organisation
BG Group is a founding member of Karachaganak Petroleum Operating B. V. (KPO) which oversees the development of the giant Karachaganak oil and gas condensate field in the northwest of Kazakhstan. Karachaganak covers an area of more than 280 square kilometres with estimated gross reserves of over 2.4 billion barrels of condensate and 16 trillion cubic feet of gas. The Karachaganak field is one of the biggest internationally-funded and most technologically challenging projects in Kazakhstan.
 
Along with exsisting operations and modification programmes, KPO is now pushing forward major major gas development projects which has increased the work scope in-country.
Position Summary
Heading up multi-disciplinary teams, you’ll manage the on-site construction and installation works of a specific project. It’ll be down to you to recommend and make changes that will improve the project while working closely with a wide range of internal and external contacts.
Key Accountabilities
  • Manage all activities at the areas of construction projects according to approved capital construction plan. 
  • Provide production schedule to be performed by the Department employees, effective use of key assets and equipment and timely follow-up of production schedules by responsible persons, and also carry out control over their performance.
  • Work on enhancement of production management, its technologies, automation of production process, saving of all kinds of reserves, introduction of progressive methods of labour management, use of reserves of work efficiency increase and reduction of production costs. 
  • Organize routine planning and maintain schedule, recording, compilation and submission of reports of construction area activities in a timely manner, generalization and extension of advanced techniques and methods, study and introduction of advanced national and foreign work experience in construction projects of industrial purpose.
  • Provide technically accurate operation of equipment and other key assets during work and performance of repairs schedule, safe and healthy working conditions.
  • Coordinate work of subordinate personnel.
  • Allocate personnel and effectively manage work in line of their qualifications and professional skills.
  • Control that employees meet standards and rules of health and safety, working and labour discipline, internal work routine rules.
  • Provide proposals to reward distinguished employees, apply disciplinary punishment upon individuals who violate working and labour discipline.
  • Organise actions for qualification development of workers and workshop technicians.
