Position Summary
To provide Electrical and Instrument discipline engineering support throughout the life of the project. 
The position will provide continuity of Engineering throughout the Project. The Engineer will assume discipline responsibility for E/C&I engineering related issues from design to final asset transfer.
Key Accountabilities
Identification of applicable engineering procedures and practises. 
Identification and application of engineering related lessons learned.
Ensure design contractor produce discipline guidelines, procedures, specifications in compliance with KPO requirements.
Participate in HAZOP’s 
Input to Engineering Manager to design contractors of engineering sequence to meet project milestones
Monitor contractor to ensure incorporation and application of operational HSEQ and VAR procedures into the design
Monitor contractors involved in design, procurement to ensure best selection and timely delivery of the best economical solutions for E/C&I systems
Monitor contractors to ensure best overall design, integrity and compliance with company guidelines and with RoK standards
Participate and input for engineering reviews and assessments
Attendance at Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT)
Input and review contractors FAT procedures
Involvement in construction risk assessment reviews
Project change control for discipline.
Provide guidance to the design contractor for DCS / ESD / F&G and instrument & electrical upgrades
Guide design contractor for discipline design for new buildings
Coordinate with other disciplines throughout the life cycle of the project 
Input to project constructability reviews 
Knowledge transfer to National personnel in accordance with the Project Plan.

Unique Knowledge, Skills, Experience and Attribute
Experience Needed: 
Electrical and Instrument Engineer I: higher education (technical) and not less than 2 years of work experience as Electrical and Instrument Engineer II.
Electrical and Instrument Engineer II: higher education (technical) and not less than 2 years of work experience as Electrical and Instrument Engineer III or other positions held by specialists with higher education (technical)
Electrical and Instrument Engineer III: higher education (technical) without any work experience requirements or secondary professional education (technical) and not less than 2 years of work experience as Technician I or not less than 5 years of work experience in other positions held by specialists with secondary professional education (technical).

Specialist Knowledge/Languages:
 
– Specialist Knowledge: Engineering knowledge in the specialist activity Fire & Gas, Honeywell DCS, Process Instrumentation
– Maintenance Operations: Maintenance experience, Trouble shooting techniques knowledge
– Supports and technologies: Standard ISO, TQM and Quality system, Technical requirement and Standards, Local/National requirements and standards
– Compliance: National and International Standard and Codes, Health, Safety, Environment, Quality,
– Plant Design: Electrical and Instrument Discipline related
– Construction & Installation: Inspection, Installation , National Supervision, Inspection, control and testing techniques
– both Design and Field implementation experience.
