As a Drupal Developer if you have what it takes to take a lead role in the technical development of actionaid.org, our global multi-lingual website, as well as connected systems come and help us build a fair and just world where everyone can claim their rights.
ActionAid works with local people in more than 45 countries to fight hunger and disease, seek justice and education for women, hold companies and governments to account and help communities cope with emergencies. Join us and use your Drupal skills to focus on the ongoing technical development of actionaid.org which serves over 40 countries. You’ll be involved in scoping, drawing up technical documentation and implementation. You will also be involved in transactions systems development including integration of Salesforce CRM and payment gateways as well as take on responsibility for overseeing configuration and optimisation of ActionAid International’s web systems.
To succeed you must have an excellent knowledge of:
• Drupal 6 development on a complex custom website with full multi-lingual support
• Enterprise level server set up including SVN and Git deployment frameworks, cache layers – NginX, Varnish – server configuration and optimisation
Coupled with substantial experience of coding using a variety of languages, including:
- HTML5
- CSS 2/3
- Javascript
- ASP.NET/ ASP.NET MVC
- PHP
- MySQL
- Front-end libraries
You must also have proven experience of technical project and stakeholder management including:
- Agile and waterfall project management methodologies
- Scoping, scheduling and costing technical solutions
- Testing
- Deployment
- Maintenance and server configuration
