Quality Assurance Engineer » Oman

Our Client - Is one of the largest E&P operators in the Middle East specializing in the exploration, production, development, storage and transportation of hydrocarbons and operation of natural-gas fields and their associated production systems.

Job Description - A thorough understanding of quality management systems applied to oil and gas projects during all E&P stages. Sound familiarity of manufacturing, fabrication, construction, commissioning, operations and project close and HSE requirements.

Candidate Requirements -
Shall be a graduate engineer with an engineering qualification (B.Sc. Eng. / BE / B.Tech) or equivalent preferably in Mechanical / Metallurgical / Welding / Electrical / Instrumentation engineering as appropriate.
At least 8-10 years practical experience in Oil & Gas industry focused on quality management, a minimum of 6 years relevant experience in oil and gas facility construction and a minimum of 2 years management experience in establishment, operation and maintenance of a quality management system: ISO/TR 29001 / ISO 9000 or equivalent. Shall be capable of developing quality system, quality plans, work procedures, inspection plans and have in depth technical knowledge of inspection, NDT and protective coating processes / applications.

Shall have supervisory skills and demonstrable working Knowledge/experience of critical processes applied during various phases of oil and gas projects including design, procurement construction, commissioning and operation practices.

Appropriate auditing qualifications and experience, shall be qualified as a Lead Auditor/Auditor IRCA Registered or equivalent (not only course attendance).
Shall be fully familiar with relevant codes used in the oil and gas industry: ANSI, ASME, ASTM, API and BS codes.
