SENIOR INVESTMENT OFFICER Transport


The International Finance Corporation (IFC) is the private sector investment arm of the World Bank Group. IFC finances private sector investments in the developing world, mobilizes capital in the international financial markets, helps clients improve social and environmental sustainability, and provides technical assistance and advice to governments and businesses.

Transport, a key sector in IFC’s infrastructure practice, has high development impact and a strong track record of financial sustainability. The sector includes a variety of sub sectors, such as ports, airports, logistics, toll roads, airlines, shipping, and rail. As Sub- Saharan Africa’s economies expand rapidly, there is an increasing need to develop green field multiuser transport infrastructure, linked to Africa’s booming mining and agribusiness export sectors. IFC is recruiting a Transport Finance Specialist; to support the origination, structuring and execution of transport PPP transactions in the Sub- Saharan Africa region.

Requirements:

• MBA, Master in Finance or equivalent and 8+ years of investment and industry experience, with a proven track record in originating, structuring and closing complex infrastructure/transport transactions.

• Strong, demonstrated project finance and equity structuring experience in transport sectors.

• Candidates with knowledge of the Sub-Saharan Africa Transport sector, or Mining and Agribusiness sectors will be well positioned.
