BBC Northern Ireland, Marketing Communications & Audiences (MC&A) is a creative and diverse department with a strong focus on audiences.  We use the intelligence gathered by our audience research team to inform every aspect of what we do.  This includes brand/campaign development for TV, Radio, Press and other emerging platforms; Protecting the reputation and values of the BBC; Scheduling and media planning our local programmes and campaigns; technical playout of our local schedules.   As Team Assistant you will play a key role within our diverse team providing comprehensive administrative support.

Role

You’ll act as the key point of administrative contact for the Brand and Creative Marketing Teams and the Audiences & Scheduling Team. Working flexibly within the MCA support team to provide  the highest levels of functional and technical support to the department.    You’ll be responsible for assessing and coordinating the merchandising requirements of our various internal stakeholders and ensuring that sufficient stock is kept, monitored and accounted for.   In addition you’ll support the Branding function in terms of management of banners, pull-ups and other collateral, liaising with suppliers and accounting for stock.   As well as providing marketing material associated with the placements of ads e.g. logos.   You’ll also provide administrative support for a number of BBC Events including OBs and Children In Need, ensure that Trails are delivered and ready for playout, and record for monitoring purposes use of music within trails.   As well as providing administrative support to the Creative Marketing team associated with trail production which includes booking venues, organising props.

Requirements

You’ll have experience of having worked at a high level in administration support in environments similar to MCA such as press, marketing, media planning, scheduling, audiences and presentation.   Have strong computer literacy which should include Microsoft Office, SAP and other specialist software.  You’ll possess excellent interpersonal skills as well as excellent written and verbal communication.     You should be self-reliant and well organised with ability to forward plan and prioritise your own workload.     Be a team player and have the ability to collaborate across the organisation and be able to embrace change and make improvements to working practices.  You should also possess good knowledge of/strong interest in BBC Northern Ireland schedules and programming.
