We are a media and communications company in Brussels specialised in research and innovation issues, and are seeking a trainee news editor.
Full-time duties include:
- Reporting and interviewing for news articles and features for our Science|Business News service on EU research and innovation policy
- Researching and writing reports on aspects of innovation policy for various projects
- Producing our weekly e-newsletter, updating content on our Website, and organising email campaigns for events and other projects
- Other tasks as needed
Requirements:
- Fluent written and spoken English. (All of our content is in English.)
- Experience in English-language journalism, or in EU research and innovation policy. (Both are a plus)
- Visa to work in Brussels.
- A plus: fluency in print and Web design, and HTML. These are not required at the start, but over time the person holding this position would have to develop these skills.
