ADE is a private consultancy company based near Brussels. It supports decision-makers in formulating, implementing and evaluating public policies in various fields. ADE has three main areas of specialisation: public policy evaluation, assistance to macro-economic reforms and to regional development, and rural development and environment. Its main clients are international institutions and agencies, national public institutions, bilateral and multilateral development organisations (www.ade.eu). 

We are urgently looking for a medium or senior level experienced professional to reinforce our Rural Development and Environment Department and develop our activities in Third countries. 

The Rural Development and Environment Department provides services in the fields of development aid and of the Common Agricultural Policy inside Europe. Facing growing opportunities related to agriculture, rural development and food security, we are looking for an experienced expert who could contribute to this development.

Job description

• Participate autonomously in business development (marketing strategy, commercial contacts, calls for tenders), especially in developing Third countries;
• Conduct and manage studies and evaluation including as a Team Leader;
• Design evaluation methodologies and tools;
• Manage projects and programmes.

Profile

• A university degree at MA or PhD level in agronomy/economics. A specialisation in environmental economics or management being an asset;
• Min. 8 years of professional experience in the field of rural development, especially in Third countries;
• Knowledge of EU policies is an asset;
• Professional experience in conducting research/studies/evaluations;
• Demonstrable research and analytical skills;
• Demonstrable writing and presentation skills;
• Resistant to stress and deadlines;
• Knowledge of main computer softwares;
• Demonstrable organisational and planning skills;
• Experience in team management and project coordination;
• Experience in developing new markets;
• Autonomy in contact with clients and stakeholders;
• Fluency in English and French, other languages being an asset.
