Description:My Sisters' Place is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization, located in Westchester County, New York, that has grown from a grassroots task force and drop-in center formalized in 1978 into a cutting-edge leader and resource in the field of domestic violence and human trafficking advocacy and services. The Self Sufficiency Program helps victims envision what self-sufficiency can mean to them, identify goals and navigate needed steps to achieve those goals through individual attention and small group educational workshops. The Coordinator is the motivating force behind this program - motivating clients, workshop facilitators, and collaborators. The Coordinator is responsible for the development, planning, and implementation of all aspects of the program.

DUTIES
- Provide overall coordination of program components.
- Provide intake, ongoing counseling, safety planning and follow up services to program participants.
- Provide advocacy services with educational, social service, employment resources, and other providers.
- Recruit, orient, and train workshop facilitators. Maintain new and existing relationships with workshop facilitators.
- Manage program workshop schedule, needed supplies, and other resources.
- Attend workshop sessions, providing support to facilitators and help to manage group dynamics to optimize sessions' effectiveness, instructional potential, and safety for participating clients.
- Develop program materials for use in individual and group client programming.
- Provide educational workshops and/or group sessions for participating clients geared towards skills development and resource identification.
- Make referrals for needed supports and services within MSP and with outside agencies.
- Provide outreach presentations at collaborating community organizations.
- Maintain program statistics and draft reports in compliance with funding requirements and objectives.
- Assist in evaluating program effectiveness.
- Represent agency at community meetings and coalitions.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Bi-lingual English/Spanish strongly preferred.
- BA required; advanced degree preferred
- Two years working with domestic violence victims/survivors preferred.
- Counseling experience required
- Experience providing support groups or educational workshops preferred.
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Must be able to work independently, assess priorities, take initiative, handle multiple assignments, and meet deadlines
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to work collaboratively and on a team

SALARY: $40,000 annually plus excellent benefits
