Senior Economist- CARICOM Development Fund

Applications are invited from suitably qualified nationals of the Caribbean Community (CARICOM) Member States and Associated Members of the Community to fill the abovementioned position in the CARICOM Development Fund (CDF) with duty station located in Barbados.
Position Summary
The position coordinates economic research within the organisation generally but will have a specific focus on comparative economic analysis and policy advice on the strategy to reduce disparities between the More Developed Countries and Less Developed Countries within the CDF Membership. The Senior Economist will advance work on measurable indicators of economic and social cohesion within the CSME and will develop and coordinate the organisation’s research agenda to inform its interventions.
Qualification /Experience
  • Master’s degree in Economics with at least eight years’ relevant post graduate experience.
  • Practical work in the field of development economics is an asset.
  • Knowledge of investment, finance and/or statistics is desirable.
