Senior Production Technologist/Engineer

Our Client - An international oil and gas company, is looking for an experienced Senior Production Technologist/Engineer to join their growing company in Malaysia, KL.
Job Description –
  • Responsible for routine well and reservoir surveillance, problem well diagnostics and repair.
  • Responsible for well and field production performance, production allocation, investigations, maintaining IPM (linking Material Balance, Nodal Analysis and Surface Network Software - Prosper- GAP- MBal).
  • Develop and ensure the implementation of well start-up and shut down procedures.
  • Close liaison with process, facilities, maintenance, and reservoir engineers. Liaise with and assist in the development of procedures with the Well Services Intervention Team.
  • Work with Cross-functional teams to define and update Field Development Plans and any input required for new Projects.
  • Assist in the management and monitoring of the flow assurance program through direct liaison with the production chemist, flow assurance engineer, and service company representatives.
  • Conduct frequent Field/Site visits for sharing production and reservoir surveillance strategy with field operators and supervisory staff.
  • Assistance in the preparation and engineering of completion and work over programs.
  • Assist the Development and Support Specialist in the design and implementation of the Murphy Production Operations Department Management System, including the coordination and preparation of procedures and work instructions for offshore use.
  • Responsible for ensuring that completion / work over requirements and safe Production operating practices and procedures, comply with the Murphy Oil Management System, while meeting all environmental and legislative requirements.
Candidate Requirements –
  • University Degree in Engineering.
  • General knowledge of reservoir engineering, and a detailed knowledge of well service operations and equipment.
  • Familiar with reservoir, completions, and construction engineering.
  • Previously worked on deep and shallow water fields.
  • Self motivated.
  • Strong computer literacy.
  • Strong organization skills.
  • Strong team building skills.
  • A sound knowledge of the business drivers affecting Murphy.
  • Fluent in English both written and spoken.
