Youth Project Officer
Tasks and responsibilities: • Develop training materials for youth for literacy, numeracy and life skills according to the NRC Youth Education Pack model; • Conduct trainings across project sites (including camp settings) on literacy, numeracy and life skills according to the NRC Youth Education Pack model; • Develop best-practices in teaching methods to ensure quality classes are delivered; • Carry out monitoring and evaluation activities to measure impact of classes on participants; • Develop schedules for all classes and ensure attendance and registration systems are in place; Coordinate outreach activities with NRC’s community mobilization team to ensure support for the youth programs across the Syrian refugee communities; • Ensure sufficient supplies for classes are in stock and communicate needs and gaps to the management; • Provide verbal and written reports on the activities being undertaken in project locations, including problems and challenges; • Design and develop exams for participants across the youth programs; • Follow up with students upon graduation and measure employment, start-up business and other entrepreneurship rates and trends; • Carry out tasks on a need basis and in coordination with the Education Project Manager.
