Brewing Manager- Cascade-Tasmania

Our Cascade Brewery is the oldest continually operating brewery in Australia and one of Tasmania's most popular tourist destinations. Situated in South Hobart, the brewery is minutes from the centre of Hobart, set against the breathtaking backdrop of Mt Wellington and surrounded by three acres of heritage gardens. The brewery is a key production site for Carlton United Breweries and is recognised for its quality beers brewed using local Tasmanian ingredients.
A newly created opportunity has now opened up for a Brewing Manager to lead the Brewing function from a People, Plant, Process and Systems framework. Reporting into the Operations Manager this role will play a key role in driving change to ensure compliance to the SABMiller Manufacturing Way.
Supported by a team of Brewers, a Maltster and Cider Manager, this role is accountable for not only strategically lifting benchmark quality and production, but more importantly, leading and championing the people change component. This is a rare opportunity to be intrinsically involved as a key figure head and change agent as we implement SABMillers world class Manufacturing Way programme during a dynamic period of growth.
As a Tertiary qualified seasoned people leader we are looking for a high calibre professional with experience at a senior level in a large complex beverage environment with complimentary domain exposure in Brewing(looking for brewing experience). Well versed in effecting change in unionised environments you pride yourself on being able to navigate in a calm collegial manner, ensuring your team has a clear line of sight of the business outcomes.
This is a great developmental opportunity within our CUB Australia Network to grow in your career and take that next step into a Site Leadership role at one of our smaller sites. Seeking a minimum three year commitment to this role at Cascade, this is the right role to consider if you want to grow into Senior Brewing Leadership roles within the wider CUB network.
In our portfolio we have leading brands like Cascade Draught, Cascade Pale Ale, Cascade Premium Lager, Award winning First Harvest, and Mercury Cider range. There are exiting plans for new product launches in the pipeline. The production Site employs around 85 employees, who have extensive experience in the production and traditions of the Cascade Brewery. That's a lot to be proud of.
