Sales Manager - Alkylates
Sasol Olefins and Surfactants has an opening for a Sales Manager - Alkylates in Sales and Marketing Department. This position is located in Houston, Texas. Below are some details of the position requirements:
Position Responsibilities:
- Promotes the establishment of strong customer relationships to ensure continuing relationships and future growth
- Utilizes market application expertise for the development and implementation of sales and marketing strategies, under the direction of the S&M Manager
- Responsible to identify, develop, handle, monitor and serve their customers mainly in commercial and technical aspects
- Supports Market Development with leads and development activities in their territory
- Actively develop sales of new customers and prospects as well as strategic target customers
- Maintain/manage general sales activities associated with assigned customers (new customer setup, visit reports, price updates, sales forecasting, visit plans, etc)
- Maintain/grow customer relationships and uncover new technical contacts for development opportunities
- Participate in fairs, trade shows and conferences
Experience and/or Educational Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Ceramic Engineering or related field with 2 - 4 years of experience and/or Master’s Degree or PhD preferred with entry level of industry related experience
- Strong technical background with sales experience interfacing directly with customers
- Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills with ability to prepare and deliver presentations
- Must be fluent in written and verbal English language; multi-language preferred
- Must be proficient in MS office
- Willingness to travel extensively
- Ability to work in a multicultural environment and independently work on assignments
