Associate, Marketing and Development
Orr Associates, Inc. (OAI) is a dynamic nonprofit management and consulting firm in Washington, DC. We are looking for a skilled and energetic professional for our Marketing and Development Associate position. Associate Duties for OAI will include:
- Assisting in the development and execution of strategic fundraising efforts
- Facilitating meetings with potential sponsors, including Wall Street firms and Fortune 100 corporate sponsors
- Assisting in the creation of marketing and development materials
- Providing administrative support to client teams
- Helping coordinate the production of strategic plans, final reports, and events
Additional Qualifications: We are seeking a candidate with the following qualifications:
- 1-3 years professional nonprofit sector experience in development (preferred) or marketing/sales experience
- Demonstrated experience with a broad variety of development efforts
- Previous exposure to fundraising and nonprofit organizations preferred
- Commitment to nonprofit sector
- Excellent organizational skills
- Ability to form relationships with diverse groups of people
- Self-starter who is comfortable handling multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and writing skills
- Excellent research and computer skills
- Ability to work on teams
