Associate, Marketing and Development

Orr Associates, Inc. (OAI) is a dynamic nonprofit management and consulting firm in Washington, DC. We are looking for a skilled and energetic professional for our Marketing and Development Associate position. Our company’s mission is to help nonprofit organizations through the following services: 1) strategic development consulting, 2) development outsourcing, 3) event marketing and management and 4) nonprofit management. Associate Duties for OAI will include:

  • Assisting in the development and execution of strategic fundraising efforts
  • Facilitating meetings with potential sponsors, including Wall Street firms and Fortune 100 corporate sponsors
  • Assisting in the creation of marketing and development materials
  • Providing administrative support to client teams
  • Helping coordinate the production of strategic plans, final reports, and events

Additional Qualifications: We are seeking a candidate with the following qualifications:

  • 1-3 years professional nonprofit sector experience in development (preferred) or marketing/sales experience
  • Demonstrated experience with a broad variety of development efforts
  • Previous exposure to fundraising and nonprofit organizations preferred
  • Commitment to nonprofit sector
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to form relationships with diverse groups of people
  • Self-starter who is comfortable handling multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication and writing skills
  • Excellent research and computer skills
  • Ability to work on teams
