We have a Brain Bank Manager position based in the Neuropathology Unit, Academic Department of Pathology, Teviot Place, Edinburgh. You will have a key role in the running of the Edinburgh Brain and Tissue bank, dealing with human post mortem samples (MRC funded until 31st October 2013). This will involve: receipt, preparation, storage and documenting cases; maintenance of the brain bank database, linked with the MRC UK Brain Network database; liaison with and distribution to users of samples worldwide as well as maintaining contact with other brain banks for optimal practice.

You will be expected to have a University science degree or equivalent in an appropriate biological science. Previous experience with tissue banking is desirable.

The post is funded until 31st October 2013.
