The Ba-Phalaborwa Municipality, with its seat in Phalaborwa, invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for appointment to the following position:

Department of Community & Social Services

Examiner of Vehicles (2 Positions)

Total Cost to Employer: R268 177.00 per annum
Basic salary: R175 501.00 – R193 812.00 per annum (Level 6)

Requirements:

• At least a Grade 12 Certificate
• Traffic Diploma
• Examiner of Vehicles Diploma
• Examiner for Driver’s Licence Diploma
• K53 and other relevant experience
• Valid Code A and EC driver’s licences, as well as PDP
• Computer literacy.

Key performance areas:

• Examine all vehicles of all classes and categories for RWC and COF
• Reconcile and submit all statistics to the SABS and the Province
• Be responsible for the weighing of vehicles of all classes
• Examine applicants for learner’s and driver’s licenses
• Conduct eye tests, take fingerprints and authorise all renewals of the card-type driver’s licence, including foreign driver’s licence exchanges.
