Key Account Manager - Industry Lubricants Australia

Shell Downstream encompasses all the activities necessary to transform crude oil into petroleum products and petrochemicals, and deliver them around the world. Our Downstream businesses refine, supply, trade and ship crude oil worldwide, and manufacture, transport and market fuels, lubricants, bitumen, LPG and bulk petrochemicals for domestic, transportation and industrial uses.

Shell Lubricants is currently seeking a highly motivated Key Account Manager to be located in our Adelaide office, South Australia.

Responsibilities:

In this role your key responsibility will be to manage the Supply Contract for Shell’s major industry customers in Adelaide, with an aim to embed Shell as the primary lubricant supplier. This role will entail maintaining key existing Shell customers and the opportunity to develop new relationships and opportunities within a new major key client for Shell in the South Australian market. You will capitalise on your existing sales skills in identifying and qualifying opportunities, diagnosing customer needs and developing a tailored solution to exceed customer requirements. You will be required to conduct all activities in line with Shell’s Health Safety Security & Environment policies and guidelines.

Requirements:

You are results-focused, a highly effective communicator and possess strong negotiation, business development and account management skills. You will have a commercial mindset and approach to your work. You have a demonstrated ability to manage customers and identify innovative sales solutions to win new business. Experience in building and maintaining strategic business relationships both at an external and internal level is crucial for success in this role. A tertiary qualification in marketing or a business related discipline would be highly regarded.

You will be expected to travel throughout South Australia and the Northern Territory for this role.
