RTD Operator

Preference will be given to applicants from sites impacted by the Scotland Review.


Context

Leven – Ready to Drink Line; producing over 3m cases, per annum. High speed production line running at 1200 bottles per minute. RTD has its own Materials Intake and Despatch.
To maintain continuous RTD production, at present, working one fixed shift, Monday to Friday.


Purpose of the role

Operators are responsible for a variety of machines within a high speed production line, to produce a high quality cased product. Operators also maintain materials intake and Despatch of finished product.


Top 3-5 accountabilities

Ownership and responsibility to operate all types of machines and processes within a high speed production environment.
Responsible to complete and maintain high standard quality checks.
Accurate stock control in both Materials intake and RTD Despatch including unloading or shipping trailers and inputting necessary information in SAP control systems.
An input into line and machine maintenance to ensure machines operates to full capability.
Liaising with various DIAGEO personnel internal and external to Leven including direct contact with external suppliers and logistics providers.


Qualifications and experience required

Sound knowledge of production machines and processes.
Ability to work unsupervised with a high degree of accuracy.
Ability to communicate effectively with a broad range of people.
Ability to drive or train on Counterbalance FLT is essential.
Computing and stock control experience preferred but not essential.
Ability to take on minor / medium technical skills is required.

Ineffective communication, poor attention to detail, lack of flexibility, inability to use own initiative.

This is for a 38hour/week shift; Monday – Thursday 0800-1645, Friday 0800-1300
