SENIOR DIRECTOR, OFFICE OF COMMUNICATIONS, Sloan School of Management, to work in partnership with Sloan's senior leadership to build the next generation of communications capability within the school. Will develop and implement a school-wide communications strategy; promote, enhance, and protect the school's brand identity; develop and align communications infrastructure and capabilities; establish standards for and maintain excellence of core communications capabilities including video, web, social media, contractor engagement and management, and content development; develop and build a team to support execution of communications service strategy; promote culture of high performance and continuous improvement; build architecture, policy, and governance for the management of communications across; lead the organizational change necessary to implement shared/distributed communication model; partner with Sloan's senior leadership on brand formulation, refinement, and design and execution of the messaging strategy; collaborate with faculty, staff, and functional leaders to establish consistent execution of the messaging strategy; and help identify challenges facing the school, contribute to developing solutions, and execute appropriate strategies to support them.

REQUIREMENTS: a relevant advanced degree; a minimum of ten years' professional experience in global communications and media relations; demonstrated history of providing strategic communications, counsel, support, and expertise to senior leaders; experience directing a comprehensive strategic communications and media relations program; creative and thoughtful utilization of new media technologies; experience building, mentoring, and coaching a team; ability to influence and engage direct and indirect reports; excellent judgment and creative problem solving skills; exceptional written, oral, interpersonal, and presentation skills; and writing and editing experience with a variety of print and online media.
