| Position Details: | Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:
Serves as principle JV coordinator for 1-off D&C engineering projects.
Able to function as a highly experienced “roving” drilling engineer and able to tackle any project at a moment’s notice.
Provides additional DE support as required for JV contracts and materials management issues.
Evaluate complex and critical well problems for Operations and make recommendations/ procedures for corrective actions.
Coordinates specialized equipment as required for the Operations, follow up with Vendors to ensure 1-off equipment orders arrive in time to meet schedule needs.
Prepares and presents technical presentations.
Relief Ops Drilling Engineer or Drilling Supt. when primary personnel offshore or out of country.
Fills role as Response Unit Leader for EMT.
Assists Operations Section Chief in organizing and managing all NMA JV EMT response operations for rig operations.
Support the D&C LT in providing effective coaching/mentoring to early career D&C engineers and aid in accelerated national development programs.
Acts as JV Interface with other departments SCM, Prod Ops, FE, HES and IT.
Interfaces with Production and Construction teams on issues affecting JV D&C SIMOPS conflicts.
Interfaces with HES team on SOP’s and SIMOPS plans.
Coordinates JV D&C interface with SCM on NNRA permit issues for JV Drilling supply boats.
Interfaces with IT team for data management / telecoms support issues for team.
Reviews hardware requirements for Team including data storage, printers / laptop & PC requirements for rigs and for Onne operations.
Coordinates preparation and retention of DSP’s (Decision Support Packages) for addition of new services /equipment and follows up with Contracts and Materials groups to ensure requests are acted upon.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Engineering.
Minimum 8 years of directly related Drilling Engineering work.
Candidate needs to be widely experienced and able to juggle multiple roles within the D&C JV Organization.
Relocation Options:
Relocation may be considered within Chevron parameters.
International Considerations:
Expatriate assignments will be considered.
