The Position
Corporate engineering and Projects is looking to fill a position as Senior Project Manager. In participation with Business Units the incumbent will prepare for future project execution, help establish the required project organization and provide service and assurance throughout the various project stages.
The successful candidate will be working in the Project Department within Corporate Engineering and Projects, reporting to the Head of Corporate Projects.

Corporate engineering and Projects is looking to fill a position as Senior Project Manager. Qualifications and Profile of Candidate
- BSc or MSc in a relevant engineering discipline with 15+ years of relevant oil and gas experience, including project management of offshore projects in two or more regions.
- Demonstrate strong safety leadership
- Competent in project management for the front-end, design, procurement, construction, installation, HUC and handover phases.
- Competent in managing interfaces with internal and external stakeholders.
- Good communication skills.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
General:
- Derive from ongoing project work in Maersk Oil Business Units and externally the current best practices for managing major upstream oil and gas projects.
- Participate in Maersk Oil’s programme to develop project management as a discipline.
- Participate in peer / stage gate project reviews as requested by the Business Units.
Project specific responsibilities:
- In cooperation with Business Units develop project execution strategies for projects under maturation.
- Work with Business Units in preparing for specific projects in terms of organization, execution plans, pre-qualification of bidders and tendering, etc.
- Provide support/troubleshooting to Business Units on project specific issues as requested.
