Maersk Oil is offering Senior and Lead Reservoir Engineers the opportunity to join the New Business Section of the Corporate Production Development (CPD) at its head office in Copenhagen. The Reservoir Engineer will be part of a growing multicultural group of reservoir engineers, geologists, geophysicists, petrophysicist and production technologists.
The New Business Section is responsible for pursuing and maturing business development opportunities with the aim of increasing hydrocarbon production, reserves and resources in line with Maersk Oil’s ambitious growth aspirations.
The RE role in New Business will comprise – but not be limited to - technical evaluations of new development opportunities and detailed field development planning for new or immature Maersk Oil assets.
Occasional travel to other countries will be required. The job title will be Senior or Lead Reservoir Engineer, depending on the level of experience.
The Person
· B.Sc. level or higher within a relevant discipline.
· More than 8 (Senior) / 15 (Lead) years of industry experience with focus on relevant subsurface aspects including reservoir simulation and classical reservoir engineering, e.g. well test and Nodal analyses.
· Good awareness of the roles of and uncertainties in other subsurface and surface disciplines in integrated development teams.
· Experience in reservoir surveillance and production optimisation.
· Self-starter with strong organizational, analytical and communication skills.
· Experience with or knowledge of modern techniques like Experimental Design for the handling of uncertainties.
· Fluent in English – written and spoken.
