The HEA is a national body for enhancing learning and teaching in higher education in the UK. We work with institutions across the higher education system to help bring about change in learning and teaching to improve the outcomes for students. We do this by recognising and rewarding excellent teaching, bringing together people and resources to share best practice and by helping influence, shape and implement policy.

The HEA supports staff in higher education throughout their career from those who are new to teaching through to senior management. We offer services in 28 disciplines throughout the UK and have offices in England, Wales and Scotland. Through our partnership management team we work directly with institutions to understand individual circumstances and priorities and bring together resources to meet them.

This role will provide specific academic input and programme coordination to ensure services and other aspects of the Academy's work are successfully delivered against the operating plan by providing academic input to key areas of work across a range of themes and disciplines covered by the team. This work may include organisation of workshops, delivery of sessions at workshops, development of learning and teaching resources, editing of resources produced by others, cataloguing resources and making them available on the HEA website.

The post holder will manage and support the development of the HEAs work on Students as Partners and Quality Enhancement in cooperation with colleagues and associates delivering services in other teams.

We are looking for a candidate who is able to demonstrate a solid track record of teaching within a HE environment with experience of developing networks and managing productive relationships. Interpersonally solid you will have a good knowledge of the UK HE sector's current challenges and how they are likely to impact HEA policy.
