Applications are invited for the following position, based at the Savuka Plant in the Carletonville/Fochville area:

MULTI-SKILLED MECHANICAL FOREMAN (BELT SHOP)

Applicants must have:

• An N4 and qualified as an artisan (Fitter)
• At least 4 years’ experience as an artisan
• A valid Certificate of Fitness (Red Ticket) or the ability to obtain one
• Sound communication skills
• Sound technical skills
• Completed Risk Assessment courses
• A driver’s licence
• A dynamic, flexible approach. Previous experience in the maintenance of conveyor belts and screens, and acting experience as a Multi-skilled Mechanical Foreman in a Gold Plant would be advantageous.

The successful candidate will:

• Report directly to the Section Engineer
• Carry a legal appointment in terms of regulation 2.9.2
• Apply guidelines, standard specifications, policy and procedures, Code of Practice and Management Instructions
• Drive the BPF System in the section
• Control costs
• Be responsible for and actively involved in the development of subordinates
• Properly maintain and install all mechanical equipment registered in the department. He/she will be required to be on standby.

The salary will be in accordance with the AngloGold Ashanti Limited Schedule of Salaries.
