AngloGold Ashanti Limited (AGA) is the world's third largest gold producer with 20 operations in 10 countries on four continents and a highly successful exploration program. AGA employs over 60,000 people globally. In Australia, AGA operates the Sunrise Dam Gold Mine in WA and is developing the Tropicana Gold Mine, also in WA, in which it has a 70% interest and is manager. Independence Group holds the remaining 30%. Tropicana, which represents the most significant Australian gold discovery for the last decade, is scheduled to begin production in the December quarter of 2013.

We are now seeking an experienced Recruitment Specialist to join our HR/OD team located in Perth CBD. This will be a fixed term contract of 6 months initially with opportunity to extend.

Reporting to the HR Manager, this role is accountable for assisting Line Managers source potential employees and completing the recruitment process according to company policies and procedures.

The main tasks of the role include:

• Coordinate and provide an effective recruitment service in line with AngloGold Ashanti Australia recruitment procedures
• Provide expert advice and policy interpretation to Managers on the full range of recruitment issues (advertising, selection processes, interviewing etc);
• Manage staff movements
• Document recruitment progress in formal weekly reports;
• Draft and place recruitments advertisements in appropriate mediums;
• Develop a range of sourcing strategies that can be used to fill vacancies;
• Liaise with external providers to assist in placement of personnel;
• Develop and maintain relationships with Managers to achieve targets and provide an effective recruitment service;
• Create and maintain a pool of pre-approved candidates

The ideal candidate will possess:

• 2+ years recruitment experience (internal or external)
• Ability to build strong relationships
• Demonstrate clear communication skills both written and verbally
• Able to meet deadlines and KPI's
• Work in a team environment
• Show initiative and excellent eye for detail
