Tenured Professor Position in Design Business Management (Aalto BIZ)

TENURED PROFESSOR POSITION IN DESIGN BUSINESS MANAGEMENT
This position can be filled on the levels of Associate Professor or Full Professor.
Design Business Management refers to a growing field of research where design is broadly seen as an outcome, process and/or organizational capability in business. What unites this field is a view that design is a source of significant competitive advantage for firms. Design, when carefully managed,  leads to new products, services, and brands, new environments, enhanced processes, improved capabilities and innovative business models. The primary research area can be in any business discipline. We value multidisciplinary research backgrounds and evidence of intellectual leadership.
Professional responsibilities will include active participation in developing design business management research, raising external funding, supervising doctoral students, building the international research connections and contributing to the International Design Business Management (IDBM) study program. The applicants will be reviewed on the basis of their research, teaching and academic leadership and activity in scientific community. The candidate should have a proven track record of publications in international refereed journals. We expect the candidate to have excellent language skills in English.
The salary is determined based on experien
ce and qualifications according to the salary system of Finnish universities. Applicants may also provide salary requests.
