BBC Learning seeks to connect, create and magnify powerful opportunities for learning across the entire BBC to inspire all audiences. Working with both internal and external partners, we commission and create large scale events, multi-platform resources and outreach activity that add real value to existing BBC content.
Recent collaborations have included Stargazing Live (BBC2), Blue Peter’s Olympic Tour (CBBC), Mr Blooms Get Set Grow tour (Cbeebies), Britain in a Day (BBC2), R1’s Hackney Academy, Rhyme Rocket Live (Cbeebies) & The One Show Roadshow.
The department is also home to a comprehensive specialist learning offering that includes key brands such as Bitesize and Skillswise.

Role

We are looking for a dynamic assistant producer who can work with Radio 1 to produce learning events in Northern Ireland linked to its broadcast content. The role will involve working with partners to produce innovate face to face events and content which delivers exciting learning experiences for the 16 to 19 age group

Requirements

 
It’s important you have experience of event management and have organised and scheduled projects to delivery on time and within budget. You will have the ability to remain calm, organised and focused under pressure and have excellent influencing, persuading and problem solving skills. A superb communicator with diplomacy and discretion, you will have excellent inter-personal skills and the ability to work within a team as well as on your own initiative. Used to translating ideas into creative content for different audiences, you will demonstrate an enthusiasm for delivering content using the latest technology.
