The Reproductive Health Supplies Coalition is a global partnership of more than 200 public, private, and non-governmental organizations dedicated to ensuring that all people in low- and middle-income countries can choose, obtain, and use affordable, high-quality supplies and related services to ensure their better reproductive health. Our Brussels-based Secretariat is staffed and managed by PATH, an international, nonprofit organization that helps communities around the world break longstanding cycles of poor health. The Secretariat also includes staff based at PATH’s offices in Washington, DC and Seattle. 

The Coalition Secretariat is seeking a Communications Associate to support the development of effective communication services. The focus is on graphics, design and website management; but the incumbent must also be able to write copy for a variety of outlets. The candidate will work under the supervision of the Communications Officer and backstop the Communications Officer as needed.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Management of Coalition graphics and electronic media:
    • Day-to-day responsibility for creating, maintaining and editing graphic content of Coalition communication materials;
    • Processing external graphics and photo related requests;
    • Liaising with external designers, photographers and printers.
  • Website management:
    • Day-to-day website management including uploading content, creating content, keep website news and resources up-to-date, and manage existing content;
    • Coding newsletter content into online tool and generating monthly newsletters;
    • Generate mass emails using templates and sending them out on listservs.
  • Writing, Editing, and Copy-proofing:
    • Generating copy for website, speeches, letters, news stories, e-announcements, social media postings;
    • Editing and/or proofreading documents before printing/emailing/uploading;
    • Contributing ideas for news coverage, fact sheets, web updates, etc.

Required Skills

  • Knowledge and experience with a range of design and desktop design tools including Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign;
  • Thorough knowledge of popular web-design programmes;
  • Strong organizational skills, high level of attention to detail and effective under deadlines;
  • Ability to work in a multicultural work environment;
  • Well organized and adaptable to changing priorities;
  • Native English speaker and writer, or equivalent;
  • Additional French or Spanish language skills preferred.

Required Experience

A Bachelors degree (or equivalent) in communications, media graphics or related field, plus five years of directly related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
